Ray Edward Price

Ed Price is the Field Coordinator and CFO (2008) of GVS

Ed has long been an entrepreneur who wanted to start the business with Bob in the very beginnings of GVS but the timing wasn’t right. However, what is meant to be is meant to be and two years in, in 2008, Ed – Bob’s brother-in-law came on board GVS as well. He currently serves as Field Coordinator and CFO, in addition to being part owner with Bob, Corey, and Cortney.

Ed brought a diverse and rich professional history to GVS. He invested 28 years with Frisco Burlington Northern and BNSF railway (the same company) as a machinist and eventually,  Safety Officer. Ed also served for 30 years as volunteer firefighter (Mount Vernon and Miller, Missouri; and Alliance, Nebraska). Ed was even elected Mayor of Miller, Missouri — – a post he held for 4 years. He was also an EMT for 10 years.

In 2005, Ed was invited to join the Management team at Commercial Windows Services to coordinate jobs in the field. He was also responsible for bidding projects and managing accounts receivable. He held this post until 2008 when the company ceased to exist due to death of one partner.

This is when Ed made the move to GVS and he has been here ever since. Ed lives to generate new business and revenue streams for the company — such as procuring new construction projects and jobs – that promote expansion. He loves hiring more employees and seeing all of the GVS ‘extended family’ (the workers truly become part of this tight-knit clan) thrive and prosper.

Ed married his wife Debby Price nearly 40 years ago—in 1973. They have two children: Amber Schnake, now married with 4 children and one grandchild; and Misty Dodds (Cortney’s wife) with three children.

Ed and Debby own a 42’ Sea Ray and enjoy spending time out on their “mini-yacht” at Crab Island, Destin, or the Intercoastal Waterway, together or with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild.
